The Short Version

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and later buy something, the retailer or software vendor may pay this site a commission. The price you pay does not change. Affiliate income helps cover the cost of running the site; it never buys a recommendation.

Which Programs We Use

• Amazon Associates — ScanTailor.net is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. Links to Amazon are routed through addresses containing /go/ and carry rel="nofollow sponsored".
• Software and service affiliates — we may link to PDF and cloud tools (for example Adobe Acrobat, Wondershare PDFelement and pCloud) through their respective affiliate programs. Until a program’s tracking link is in place, such links point to the vendor’s public site as plain placeholders.

Our Rules

• Downloads are never monetized. ScanTailor Advanced itself is free and open source (GPL-3.0). Our download links point to the project’s official GitHub releases whether or not any affiliate program exists.
• Affiliate links are labeled. They run through /go/ addresses, use rel="nofollow sponsored", and pages that contain them say so.
• Recommendations come first. We describe products and tools as we find them — including free and open-source options that pay nothing — and add affiliate links only where a purchase genuinely fits the reader’s task.
• No paid placements. Vendors cannot pay to be recommended, ranked or reviewed favorably on this site.
